As a member of the Cengage organization, the primary objective for this position is help with Manual Orders and Special Handling Orders

Responsibilities

  • Efficient processing of manual orders and special handling orders including adoptions
  • Maintain exceptional quality through spot-checking work throughout the department for accuracy
  • Design and print labels
  • Utilize radio frequency (RF) equipment to pull stock for orders
  • Utilize sight recognition and matching of numeric and alpha listings to ensure accurate inventory and order placement.
  • Perform consistent counting of product and pallets utilizing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Keep accurate records on work in process
  • Train new and existing team members as needed
  • Be able to multi task and prioritize work as needed
  • Effectively participate in conference calls and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to safely and consistently lift, push, pull and relocate packages up to 45 lbs
  • Adhere to all safety practices and policies
  • Must be able to stand/walk 8-10 hours a day

Qualifications

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks
  • Will be required to learn all functions in the Distribution Center
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written or oral form
  • Ability to use a calculator and computer as necessary
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to easily navigate through LogPro
  • Ability to have flexible work hours
  • Must be safety-minded

 

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working with Manual Orders
  • Runner – Ground level work
  • Pallet jack – Ground level work
  • Prior RF experience.
  • Prior distribution experience.
